I am a customer of United Illuminating because I live in CT. My power is still provided by them but I found out that I can choose another supplier. It was so easy to switch that I changed my home and business to North American Power. UI's rate at the time was $.872 per kWh (per kilowatt hour) VS. North American Power's rate of $.699 per kWh.
